Genuine links are those that weren't build by yourself. It's hard to get genuine links pointing to a new site.

 

genuine links are those that you get naturally. if you have a quality site and people find your site interesting or resourceful, they link to you. those are called genuine links.

 

Quality links, the one that is related to yours and updated sites would be consider genuine.

This is also how I would best describe genuine link building. Genuine link building is not paying for spam links as well.

* A link within the body content
* diversity of anchor text with no follow and do follow

 

Exactly , you should build links in other sites. But you could not show the search engine that you are doing this as you planed.

 

Genuine Link means Quality backlink like any one search any keyword to any search engine and they found your site and after that he's interested to link exchange to your site and that site is also quality and genuine that's called Genuine (Quality) Link..

For instance say you write a valuable comment on blog that would usually get a no follow attribute, the owner may find your comment very interesting and insightful and decide to reward you by changing the link attribute to a follow link.
