Froogle is a price comparison service launched by Google Inc. Froogle is different from most other price comparison services in that it neither charges any fees for listings, nor accepts payment for products to show up first. Also, it makes no commission on sales. Any company can submit product information (via a “data feed”) and be included in the Froogle engine. Notably, advertising space is available for purchase to be displayed in Froogle in the form of an AdWords ad, similar to those in other parts of the Google network. This is, as elsewhere, noticeably separate from the main body of results.

Is there much point using Froogle if you don't have a unique product to sell?

Ah ok,no,no,it's a sort of adwords for advertising sites, but you sell directly the products in spite to sell your services (I guess,or I understood nothing...)

What is it with this thread?! Someone asks what Froogle is, someone sort of explains, several people top up their post count with a message along the lines of "thanks, now I know what Froogle is", and then someone asks another slightly different question like "Can you give me more information please?" and the whole thing goes round again!

It's time to give this thread the funeral it doesn't deserve I reckon! Just go to the site and read up on Froogle, for goodness' sakes!

(perhaps I should just remove this from my subscribed threads, but I just can't resist it - I am waiting for the next banal installment of this moribund discussion!)

Except there are NO fees to line eBay's pocket.
See my article about how Google may replace eBay for a number of sellers.

*is slightly exacerbating the situation markowe has identified by adding to the thread*

Just going to google and LOOKING at froogle/google product search would've answered 95% of the questions in this thread
    *shrugs*

Hello! Froogle is, or was the name of Google's project of an online store, or anyway, something from where you can search and buy products.
