what is first step for newbie in affiliate marketing.

I read in DP, there are much money in affiliate marketing, so I decide to hard work with affiliate programs,

Can anyone suggest me, which program I join and which not?. first of all, I will start with my first blog, if I earn some money, then I will purchase some domains and hosting.

Welcome to the wonderful world of affiliate marketing. It is a great industry for making money IF you know what you are doing. Before you jump in with both feet, waste a lot of money and get dizzy with information overload, download this free eBook (Affiliate Masters Course) and READ IT. Don't be fooled by the price (FREE). It is considered one of the "bibles" on affiliate marketing.

Reading and studying these two books will help set a strong foundation for your affiliate marketing career.

I strongly recommend you read the Affiliate Masters Course BEFORE you join any program, sign up for any affiliate product or spend a cent...especially with people who are going to promise you the world.

You also have to be careful about asking "Can anyone suggest me, which program I join and which not?" in an open forum. There are more people than not who will only use your inexperience or naiveté in affiliate marketing to try and get you to join their program so they can make a few bucks off of you.

The first steps in affiliate marketing would be to read as much information about it as possible. Once you have done that then you will need to start testing affiliate programs out where it may involve alot of trial and error or if you are lucky then you may get it correct the first time.

 

I would suggest Clickbank - digital products with high commission but they will have to blend with the theme of your blog.

My recommended first step in affiliate marketing is to learn the basics. Figure out what program you want to join, what you want to promote, and how you want to promote. Pick a specific niche to focus your efforts on.

After that you can learn about generating targeted traffic, search engine optimization, and things like that. You can also learn about different marketing tactics, such as article marketing, e-mail marketing, etc.

Take advantage of every free e-book on affiliate marketing that you can find. Sure, you might have to provide an e-mail address and sign up for some newsletter, but who knows, maybe the newsletter will provide you with useful information.

There is much to learn about affiliate marketing, and you learn best in this field by trial and error, and first hand experience.

Find your niche.

You can join all the different affiliate programs or you can focus on something specific to your blog or site.

Once you've found your niche, stick to it and search out complimentary products or services associated with your topic.

Here are a few of the many categories out there for affiliate programs:
http://www.am411.com/affiliate-programs.htm. It's not a complete list, but one with programs from various networks.

Decide on whether you wish to work with an in-house affiliate program or one that is on an affiliate network. CJ, Linkshare and Shareasale are definitely ones that are most popular, but there are gems out there with great offerings.

Persistence and patience - it may take some time, but once you've found your niche the rewards can be gratifying! Best of luck!

I would really say that it depends on your type of site. For example if you have an affiliate programs directory or a price comparison site then you may join loads of programs and do alright with it, but if you have a small site then it may be best to only join a few programs as you will then be able to spend more time working with each affiliate program and will then know more about it and will probably earn more from them few affiliate programs than what you will if you joined a large amount of programs.

 

The best bet is to read a little and GET A MENTOR to personally teach you step-by-step to success. Most of the guys who're advicing you to read this book and that book start this way and most are still doing same.

This is most kept SECRET in the entire Internet Marketing industry.

It's exciting to get into this, but I think you need to make sure your expectations are appropriate. It's a long road. Think very hard before spending any money. People who promise things FAST, are usually not telling you the entire story.

Sorry to be so negative. I'm actually quite optimistic in general.

I also agree with Jim Guinn, you need to be careful about asking this question in very open forums like this. Develop a few relationships with people you trust and they will give you REAL help...
