Believe me, i have read it many times, and couldnt understand why i should use feedburner since i have RSS from my blog already, why would i use feedburner still? why so many people use it? thanks
You can monetize your feed with feedburner. You have subscribers counter, and many many other useful (and free) things... Check it out, you'll love it to...
Not exactly. Not only monetization. You can allow your visitors easy to subscribe to your feed with popular RSS readers)
Why feedburner, could visitors not use any RSS feed client to subscribe to your feed? or am i getting confused.
pipes, thats what i was confused with after doing hours of testing and reading, this is why you should use feedburner: - users can click on the icons and quickly subscribe to your rss via their favorite rss readers - you get statistics of the readers via rss. you get to know how many people actually subscribed to your rss. - you can monetize, but i didnt figure that out, i tested it, it started displays adsense ads in my content, which you can do without rss.
I really like feedburner that a lot that it can help with. One of the best features in my opinion is FeedFlare. It is on the 'Optimize' tab and enables your readers to share your posts and pages with sites like Digg, Stumble It, Facebook and lots more. I would recommend anyone to look at this if you are a blogger, it makes life a lot simpler.
Is it only for blogs ? Or can it be used for other types of sites also (like forums...) to give RSS subscription options to forum users ???
Reader and viewer control. Feedburner is much like Google Analytics but for your feeds. It is probably the first thing I did when I started my blog.
