Entering your URL on those website value calculator sites really helps get you indexed VERY QUICKLY!!! When you put your url in, it generates a webpage about your site, including a link to it. The search engines monitor these sites regularly - I've launched new sites, and done nothing but enter the URL's into about 20 of those website value calculators, and had them indexed within 24 hours.

Social bookmarking means that you submit your website on social media websites like digg, twitter, stumbleupon etc etc etc. Google and other search engines crawl these websites preety fast and if they find your link on one of these sites, chances are high that they will find your website and will start indexing it..

I think all of those are legitimate and effective way of getting your site indexed.

One of the best ways to get indexed is by pinging useing pinging services like pingomatic.com etc. and then also get some cool back links from related high PR sites .

 

Digg is usually the 1st port of call when i have just finished a site and yes i would 2nd those valuation sites as you do get asome good quality backlinks from them as well.

2. Social Bookmark main Page.
3. Ad Adsense.
4. Google Custom Search on your site.

 

Logically digg will not help anymore in getting indexed by google. Since it is nofollow now.
