    If you're doing social bookmarking for traffic, I'd say stick to digg/reddit and post to relevant categories. It all depends on what your blog is about.

    There's a multitude of things you can do to promote your blog. You can post articles on different sites, put the link in your forum sig (already done), and build deep back-links.

    I think all SEO methods are suitable for blogs and of course the fresh contents would be more essential for blogs. If you want instant traffics, you could try PPC campaigns or twitter, facebook. :)
