Yeah I think some people can redirect PR from other sites. I've heard of it quite a bit, but there are ways to make sure of it. Certainly Google wouldn't be fooled, but it makes sense for a directory to show that they have a PR5 when they don't.
I am not good in this but i think Fake PR means a temporary highly ranked site from the result of excessive SEO practice but eventually the site PR will go down after when search engine take it away due to violation of their policy
fake page rank mean forged PR which we use the redirect to reflect the pr of other's in stead of it's own PR.
Fake is not real. So .. yeah that's fake. maybe the domain redirect to the other domain that has high PR. Simple way to check it's fake or not is checkpagerank net
use search facility and you will get result. But in simple way, fake PR is site with PR that directed to other page. By using Query site:URL, you can detect if the PRis fake or not. If the result doesn't point to the URL we type, the PR is fake
