What is fake page rank

    1. What is fake page rank.

    - Is it manually generated or an error in reporting by PR checkers?

    - How is it detected by Fake PR checker & not normal PR checker tool. This is a problem because you have to double check it using a Fake PR checker to confirm the actual PageRank. If so what is the use of using Normal PR checkers if they can't detect them. Can U recommend a Fake PageRank Checker which is good (which u have tried & works fine)

    2. Any Multiple PR Checker Tool (check Multiple Pages at once) which is Reliable.

    Fakepagerank is made by redirecting a website to for example nasa.com, when there is a pagerank update they site will get the pagerank of the redirected website...now you change back to normal website and voila pagerank 9 :p

    but its easy to spot fakepagerank

    Fake PR is achieved when a webmaster buys paid links for the site. For example, he finds a site that has a PR of 6 and buy a link to his site.

    you can check domain with type " info:yourdomain.com" on google

    for example a website with high PR which you suspicious is fake, just easily search the domain at google

    eg. search

    www.iCalvyn.com

    if the 1st result is not iCalvyn.com, and it show other website such as google.com, meaning that iCalvyn.com's PR is fake.

    if the 1st result is the URL you search, it is the real PR.

    Thank you everyone for replying. Calvin, i think your method might be the answer because when i used different Fake pagerank checkers, some show them as invalid/forged whereas other show them as valid.

    I don't know how info:example.com works - when i use this, i get back 1 result, that of the page being searched.

    Can someone provide me a site which is Faking PR so i can check it through different Fake PR checkers (If it's not allowed thru' here, just send as PM).
