    The more likes, the more"confidence" a potential person has in your brand/product etc.
    Also their like get spread to all their friends.

    Its a electronic "word of mouth" type thing.

    Sounds about right. Its does not affect the "math" directly but if im not mistaken google does raise an eyebrow on social pages that have more traffic then ones that dont.
