    eCPM: Effective Cost Per Mille or eCPM (as it is often initialized to) is a phrase often used in online advertising and online marketing circles. It means the cost of every 1,000 ad impressions shown.

    what is the average ecpm in google?. My average ecpm is .65%. is this normal or high ?

    That's $0.65 not .65% - it means you earn 65 cents per 1000 page impressions. That might be typical for a forum but on a regular content site, depending on topic & layout, you can get $4-$10 per 1000.

    yes, ECPM $0.65 is quite low for a content site, it might be a mix of bad CTR and poor paying topic.

    it will also depends on wich country your visitor is from. and they calculate the eCPM based on the visitors..

    effective cost per million........ when you receive 1 million page views and you get paid from it. called eCPM.

    The M in CPM refers to the Roman letter M for 1 thousand. It gets confusing as M is increasing used for a million.

    I always thought it was Estimated Cost Per Thousand, as in this is what you are estimated to make per thousand visitors based on past earnings.
