Say if I have a job agency. I post the same job on my web site, on craiglist, and some other job boards. Are these job postings of the same position regarded as duplicate content by Google? Thanks!
Have a read of this interview with Adam Lasnik. It goes into what Big G consider duplicate content. They only really penalise where the duplicated content is specifically for the purposes of manipulating search rankings. In this scenario, I would suggest you are OK but to be safe, it might be worth looking at creating specific ads for specific sites.
you can read on http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2006/12/deftly-dealing-with-duplicate-content.html . G has explained the what dublicate content is
No, it is not duplicate content. It is only promotional ads..... content is duplicated if you body contents of your page is similar with each other, that's duplicate content..
I think the length of text, structure and other factos go into dup content. A few lines of a job post may not be dup but three paragraphs verbatim may be.Nevertheless, there has been the argument of affiliates who use the same text to promote products. Some of them are a page long. Does G consider those as dup content?
