I have been considering opening several new stores and want to cross sell some of my merchandise. Would this be considered duplicate content if I use the same product codes, prices, descriptions etc.?
I think I heard somewhere aslong as you didn't copy more then like 70% of the page from 1 particular site that it's ok, not sure though.
I have asked this question many times around the Forums and have never had an answer. So as no one seems to know I put it into the myth category and don't worry about it although I usually make sure a page is not 100% the same just in case.
Yeah, same here, I don't think there is an EXACT DEFINITION of duplicated content but to be safe, I always like to make sure I pee* on anything I steal from another site. *pee - to touch up, change (It's my slang feel free to spread it)
That certainly is an interesting way to put it. I guess if I just change the description of my items a little that I will be ok. That will be more work but I guess it will be worth it in the long run. Although, there are a lot of websites out there who dropship who tell their customers that they are free to use their content and descriptions. I really wonder if it would be ok just copying my descriptions. The page layout and html code will be different.
One word "PEE!" I thought it would get a laugh, guess not maybe that's just my 16 year old humor. I am 16 by the way, everyone else seems to be much older here. P.S.: I have the flu, so I might have made that term "pee on it" up because I had to piss real bad, drinking fluids and all, I feel much better now incase you were wondering, it was a 2 day flu and I told my mom I wanted to fight it on my own, I fought this flu with only 1 Tylonal, beat that
I did laugh. I guess that didn't come out in my post though. I thought it was a good way to put it. Not the greatest mental picture but accurate none the less. Sorry you are not feeling so hot. I hope you get well soon. Take some advice from some of us oldtimers (I'm 28, do you consider that old). Get some rest and drink plenty of fluids so you can continue to "pee on it" whenever you need to. He He, see, I'm laughing again.
Yep, but I don't want to take meds because that will screw up my immune system and make it lazy, I don't mind getting sick once in a while (aslong as it's not like really sick) a) I don't have to go to school. b) Gets me ready if a serious problem comes up (so my body knows how to defend itself) Yep, but now I think we are going off topic
It is really cool that the internet has opened so many doors for everyone. The young and old both have the ability to make some serious money on the web if you can find something that works well for you. When I was 16, I thought that if you turned the computer off without shutting down that you had really messed it up. That was the extent of my computer experience. A decade later I work in IT and am working for myself. It is a wonderful age to live in. You are doing OK, for 16. I disagree with you on the meds thing but that is just my oppinion. Ok, totally off topic now.
How can you disagree with me on the meds thing, I am right arn't I? My mom begged me on hand and foot to take something that's the only reason why I took it. You don't think it makes your body lazy to put something in it that fights for you? You think popping up a few anti-biotics and tylonal is going to be good for your body in the long run? Maybe if you have to work to feed your family and you need to get better quick then yeah, go for it, but when you don't mind going through some time with a stuffy nose and a headache then its always best to let your body do the work, I am not saying if you have cancer don't go on kemo I am saying if it's not life threating then it's like a game, kick some ass and you charector gets stronger There's no opinions here, it's a fact, taking meds when your body can easily fight something on it's own like a common cold is stupid (not bad for you, just gets rid of a good opertunity to grow stronger in a part of the body you couldn't otherwise work out with), heck when I catch I see it as a chance to grow immunity, aslong as you have time to deal with a cold it's cool, you get to stay home, watch cartoon network, and now, I do some of this stuff too cool with me ^.^, now... I need to sleep, nightZ!
Whether you use medication or not, you body becomes imune to your cold. You only get a specific viral infection once. Or, you never get the same cold twice. Once you get it once your body becomes imune to it. So by letting yourself suffer with a cold you are not preveting anything for the future. You will get more colds. But it will be a different virus that causes them. By letting your body naturally fight your cold, you are only prolonging the healing process for this specific virus. When the next virus comes along it will attack your body in a different way so any strength you built up from this one that you are trying to fight on your own, will not help prevent the next. Thats why this is an oppinion. You are still going to do it your way and I mine. Now go to sleep.
