What is Doorway Pages or Getway Pages?

    Actually i have read somewhere about definition of Doorway Pages but no clear so can anyone tell me about "Doorway Pages".

    Doorway pages are created to do well for particular phrases. They are also known as portal pages, jump pages, gateway pages, entry pages, and by other names as well.

    redirecting related url to unrelated content page is called an doorway pages.

    For example if your url related to web design, but redirecting the page to data entry content page is called doorway pages.
