I heard: we can't transfer a domain unless it has been at the current registrar for at least 60 days. If my domain will be expired i cannot transfer it until i will first renew it with the current registrar."

is it true or policy has been changed?

The 60 Day rule apply with most registrar when transferring to another registrar. if the domain is expiring soon you need to make sure that there is enough time to complete the transfer to another registrar, normally it is about 6 days, but this depends on the loosing registrars some take 15 days. I have recently transferred a domain from Enom to DirectDot and the domain had 15 days left ( the transfer was completed in 6 days). like I said it all depends on the losing registrars.

If you are transferring to another account within the same registrar then there is no waiting period.

    cheers
