What is DNS Clustering?

    Hello,
    Can someone please explain me whats DNS clustering and the feature in WHM and how its useful.
    I have 3 servers so want to know if its useful for me.

    It's useful because you can have your ns1. on one server and your ns2. on another server, and they will both share the same dns entry data.

    In case any one of your nameservers go down, the other one will continue to resolve the DNS and you won't suffer a complete outage. It also works to divide the DNS lookups across the servers so a single server doesn't get bogged down with connections.

    These are the reasons why larger websites often have at least 4 NSs.

    Hi,

    This will likely provide no noticeable benefit in your case unless for some reason only the dns server on one of the servers failed as the sites are still hosted on only one server.

    It may also allow your sites to begin resolving slightly faster after a failure then they would otherwise.
