No, you won't loose traffic. But as per the question, the only disadvantage is your account may get banned if the clicks are fraud. So, be honest in that aspect. In other words, do not let others to click on the Ads on your site.. Let them click on their interest and let the site grow in a natural way... Good Luck !
I think he's talking about people coming to his site and then clicking on an ad that takes them away from the site instead of sticking around and maybe buying a product or becoming a member etc. It's a fine line you have to walk when deciding to put ads on your site, there's a good chance direct competitors ads will show up and you could drive traffic to their sites. So while you might make a few cents on the click you could lose a customer for life. The only way to find out is for you to try it and see if you get less traffic over time.
Yes, there's really no noticeable affect on your traffic. You could earn a little more money which would be nice. Don't rely on AdSense as a business model, though. They have become ban-happy lately.
