what is differnce between SEO. SEM and SMO

hi to all.

i am begineer in seo filed i came accross the word like SEO ( search engine optimization) SEM ( search engine marketing ) and SMO ( social media optimization ) wat is diffrent in this three types of web marketing it all comes under webmarketing or not ?

 

They are the buzz words for On-Page Optimization (SEO), Lead/Traffic Generation (PPC) and Link building.

 

SEO focus in rankings

SEM focus on payper click and ads

 

SEO is the practice of getting results within ORGANIC search listing.

SEM 'technically' focuses on Paid Search Advertising

SMO is not really for link building but more for things like 'link bait'
