There is a standard format of Sitemap.xml submitting for websites, whether you submit it on google, yahoo and bing.

There is no dispute over sitemap.xml among Google, Yahoo and MSN.

I think,Google the most complex of the three of them.
Google focuses on content and quality niche related links for good rankings.
Yahoo & Bing like Google likes content - however lower quality links such as blog commenting and forum signatures have more value.

Google has the vast majority of the search traffic and is by far the most important. At this point I would focus on Bing because rumor is that yahoo and bing will be merging algorithms sometime next year. Bing and Yahoo rank websites similarly to Google, so if you're doing well on Google most likely you'll do well on yahoo, bing, etc. Yahoo and Bing place much more value on the meta keywords file than Google does. Bing and Yahoo are also much more susceptible to link schemes like link buying, comment spam, and others. Questionable tactics are much more likely to improve ranking on bing or yahoo, but the risk of Google penalty is seldom worth it.
