    the main process of optimization for search engine is SEO, this is called search engine optimization, rest all are the parts of the SEO,
    SEM is the search engine marketing which is the paid promotion of the website, SMM is the social media marketing which deal in marketing in social networking sites like twitter and facebook and paid, and SMO social media optimization which also deals in the social networking sites but its free.

    As per my experience, Only organic traffic gives you business conversion. Social networking sites gives you high amount of traffic but for business conversion you can approach for SEO. PPC is also good way of generating traffic but it is paid. You have to pay for Each and Every click which comes from PPC.
