Hi Filks, please tell me difference between facebook & orkut?, why is not use people orkut for business. your suggestion would be appreciated.
face book and orut both sites are social networking sites but google can,t accpet busness link on orkut that why we are not use orkut for bussness purpose
I think both are good but facebook has some features like facebook applications which will help you very much in advertising. And orkut is used by people for more their social works like connecting with friends , etc.
Facebook give you more privacy as orkut. Facebook provide more thing to engaging(Applications) the visitors as Orkut not.
I have 350+ friends in FB and got lot of projects from the companies and fb friends in private groups. I have 800+ friends in orkut and got nothing so I DELETE my orkut account because it useless for business and wasting my times
In general, Facebook is more about schools/networks, where as Orkut is more of a place to keep in touch with friends. 1) Facebook is very strong on the schools thing, Orkut doesn't have schools 2) Facebook has applications, orkut doesn't 3) Orkut allows you to see who has been viewing your profile, Facebook doesn't 4) Orkut allows you to categorize friends (close friend, friend, acquaintance, etc.), Facebook only has "friend"
Being as an marketer, I think the main difference between facebook and orkut is the kind of exposure that facebook offers. You can simply promote your business by creating a page over facebook and you can make it visible to Google. However, there is no way you can do the same in orkut.
From a marketing point of view, it depends on who your target audience it. Orkut is not as huge in the United States as it is in South Asia and South America. The reason for this is that Facebook has more security features, games and apps. It also has a cleaner look.
orkut is not accepted by google and yahoo as far as I am concerned so suggest you to use facebook especially about the aspect of knowing the real identity of your customers and the great options to present new ideas about advertising...
