What is deep linking?

    I have seen this term many times in affiliate programs description ( that deep linking is allowed or not ) , but don't know what is it.

    Deep linking means creating links that link to internal pages of a website.
    e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/your_page.html

    That's deep linking. When directories disallow deep linking, that means you can only submit http://www.yoursite.com

    You need to rank well for all your pages and add good content in internal pages to get deep linking.

    Deep links are nothing but your internal pages, as you can submit your website ( Homepage) to the directories, you can also submit your internal pages to deep linking directories. this will help to increase the internal page value and Page Rank.

    Deep linking refers to linking to content buried deep within a website. They are referred to as "deep" because they are often two or more directories deep within a website, or nested deep in a series of pages.

    Inshort...Linking to a web page other than a site's home page.

    I think that's deep linking. When directoriesdisallow deep linking, that means you can only submit on google.com and good luck to you.
