One more wrong about CTR. It's for clicks for 100 ad impressions, not money for 1,000, that is RPM, formerly called eCPM.
Cpc is cost per click, which is the money you receive from one click. The data is taking the average figure from all the click Ctr is click through rate, which is the percentage of clicks you get. The formula is Ctr = (number of click / total impression) X 100%
CTR = Click Through Rate as a %, divide the # of clicks by the # of ad impressions... CPC = Cost Per Click as an average of what you are getting for each click, so it's total earnings divided by # of clicks...
I know that CPC stands for Cost per Click , CTR stands for click through rate. But can you show me Which better for my development website? CPC or CTR?
Both are important. The CTR is up to you and up to where you place the ads, colours, etc, while the CPC is more about your site niche.
CPC is how much you get for 1 click. So if some clicks your ad once and the click is worth $2 then your CPC is $2. CTR is how many time people click per no. of impressions. So if your ad is shown to 100 people and 1 clicks on it then your CTR is 1%. 1/100*100=1% or ctr(% of people who click on your ad per no. of times ad shown)= no. of clicks/no. of impressions*100
