Hi Kevinkev, For Google Adwords, there are 2 main networks that you can bid on : The Search Network The Content Network The Search Network This is the search page when someone key in a keyword to search in google. The ads that you see in the top and right hand side are called sponsored ads. The Content Network These are Google Adsense sites in the websites, blogs, articles in Article Directories,Squidoo Pages,Forums. If you go for Google Adwords, and if you are new, avoid the Content Network first and go for only the Search Network. Most of the traffic, 80% come from Content Network, but the traffic may be of low quality, they may come from arbitrage sites and low quality sites. This will eat up your budget very fast without conversion. Better target higher quality traffic from the Search Network. Match your keywords with your landing page for better conversion and to get higher Quality Score of Google. That your cost per click will be lower. If you are new and inexperience, best is to avoid the top tiers: Google, Yahoo,Bing, although the reach is the best. Go for the second tiers : ASK,MIVA,Bidvertiser,Netklix.... Try to avoid expensive learning curve with the top tiers. Hope it helps Giap
Whenever you see ads displayed on someone else's website from Google - these are Content Network ads. It is best to either leave the Content Network off, or create seperate adgroups for the Content Network, since the cost per click is usually less than with the Search Network.
The content network is when users take the google adsense code and place on their site then your ad relevant to the content site will appear on that site.
