According to Google you shouldn't have more than 100-200 outbound links per page.
Yet you can find some pages with lists (top 300 social bookmarking site list, hundreds of DoFollow blogs list, etc.) and they rank just fine.

100 links are more than enough for my needs.

Just make sure the outbound links are related to your site and relevant to your site's visitors. For example, don't link back to a bunch general web directories. Link back to good sites in your niche and maybe some niche directories if you think the niche directory will bring you traffic or increase your SERPs.

Keep in mind though that each link that you put on a page divides the ammount of PR and "link Juice" that you send out.

So if you have 10 links that each link gets 10% of the link juice. 100 links then each link gets 1%. So on and so forth. Also keep in mind what you link to. Google uses the anchor text in the links you put on your page in their algorithm of what your page is about.

So basically make sure you give links judiciously.

as long as the page is not looking spammy, it should be fine irrespective of what is the number of outbound links are. 100 is way too much..I think 50 is alot too.

That would be nice but I was under the impression that if google found a page with what it considered too many outbound links it would degrade the site thinking it was a link farm.

You should have some meaningful content on a page, rather that purely links only.

The other thing to keep in mind is the types of sites that you link to. Linking to sites that have been banned by google will cost you in the serps. Never link to banned sites or sites in bad neighborhoods. If you must, then use a "nofollow" tag when you link to them.

google says links <100/page is fine......but there are many pages with >100 links ranking well on google SERP.

From what I have read in the past, 100 was supposedly good. This was way back in 2006/7. There surely are changes in algorithms since then.

100 relevant links rather than junk links should be fine..

No authoritative sources, so best is to keep it minimum as possible.

I won't suggest you to reach the amount of 100, and why you want that?
want to create link farms? will not help you any more.

the less the better. Outbound links unless made no follow take away your pages page rank. Aim for many more inbound than outbound links

You should always see the number of outgoing links in relation to the number of incoming links. If you have a lot of incoming links then a big number of outgoing links should not be a problem, and vice versa...

From my experience you should keep the outgoing links on the page below 80-100 if the page hasn't got any external links pointing to it otherwise it will get deleted from the index. It has happened to me a number of times before. You can have more than 100 links on a page but then you'll have to make sure it has enough incoming links.
