it depends on your threshold for pain and frustration and what kind of site you have. some people might consider anything less then 7% low.. others, might say below 4% is low.. yet many forum-owners would be happy with 1.5% .. it's all relative..
I'd consider anything lower than 0.5% CTR pretty low. It all depends on the type of site and maybe what it's about, too.
on an average the CTR is around 2% ... so you can estimate the low and high from it. The sites specifically made for adsense generally have high CTR like 10% or more ... but that can be dangerous
Wow, I don't think I'm breaking 1-2% on any of my sites. But then again, I clearly distinguish between ads and content on most of my sites for a better user experience.
i was getting 6,000 uniques to one of my sites and I would be lucky if I got 1 click every five days so i put paypop up on it and it was earning like $15 a month....I sold it soon after
For me, anything within the 1.5-2.5 range is a winner for me. I try to target my niche reviews more accurately so as to not have G sniffing about too frequently. I already was killed by 2 PR points for having so many backlinks.
damn, I'm pulling .4% ... but then again I'm targetted iPhone users, who probably know to stay away from clicking google ads.
That's the key to effective marketing and site promotion. Being able to move your clients toward your available assets. Making the ad links appealing is another basic key. also don't rely to heavily on forums like this for your traffic...remember 70-85% here are ad-centric. Good Luck And Keep On SEMing
