hey guys I have one questions .. Can we consider download manager like Torrent and lime wire as an example of cloud computing...
No. A good video was already posted about this. Didn't you read anything in this thread? (No one on DP EVER reads previous posts.)
It's no surprise that there is a lot of confusion about cloud computing. It means a lot of things to a lot of different people. For instance, Software as a Service (Salesforce.com), Platform as a Service (Microsoft Azure) and Infrastructure as a Service (GoGrid) are all aspects of cloud. Just found a post written by the cloud experts at GoGrid called "What The Heck Is The Cloud Anyway!?" This helps explain a lot of the technical aspects of what cloud is.
The key characteristic of cloud computing is that the computing is in the processing (and the related data) is not in a specified, known or static place(s). This is in contrast to a model in which the processing takes place in one or more specific servers that are known.
I can't believe I never heard of this. This is a major break thought for businesses. Technology is just advancing too fast. It is difficult to keep up.
Cloud computing include reduced costs, easy maintenance and re-provisioning of resources, and thereby increased profits. Cloud also helps save the environment. This article covers cloud computing advantages while discussing how cloud computing contributes to green computing. Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the Internet. These services are broadly divided into three categories: Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
Thanks renatus for this informative video really great information you have shared about cloud computing.
Thanks a lot for the useful information. I myself was looking for the definition of Cloud computing. This one is very easy to understand
Delivering hosted services over the Internet is called as cloud computing. By spreading such resource needed for your website along with many physical servers thus reducing the dependence on single part of computing hardware this is achieved. This service divided into Infrastructure, platform and software.
A new generation of computing that utilizes distant servers for data storage and management, allowing the device to use smaller and more efficient chips that consume less energy than standard computers.
Cloud computing provides computation, software, data access, and storage services that do not require end-user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers the services.
