Clocking means redirecting a visitor of your site to another desired page of yours. But it's unethical SEO or black hat SEO. So, don't try it, else your site will get penalized!!!

It is not Clocking but "Cloaking" . Basically it means that you are presenting a different content to web spiders and a different one to actual visitors ( which is not ethical).
Cloaking is basically when you show search engine bots one thing and humans another. Its generally regarded as Black Hat SEO technique. So one should avoid this technique.
Whenever you are checking Google cached of a particular page and if its showing different than original page then you may assume that its webmaster doing - cloaking. It's showing one thing to visitor and other to search engine.

Cloaking is the process when you show different content to the user than to the search engine. Actually this is a debated issue... Although we all know, cloaking is bad... but there are many who believes Google itself does cloaking in geographic results.
And if you are using it on your site or linking in between your content which is showing a different anchor text or redirecting your URL to some other unrelated sites. then you are digging a grave for your site. this is what Cloaking really means.

If you are talking about "Clocking" I would instantly assume you are talking about “Over clocking†your CPU or GPU to make it run faster than it was originally intended. It will also run hotter than it should so you need to add some extra cooling and ventilation inside your case. If you did mean to type Cloaking, it would be more relevant to SEO. Cloaking is when you show one version of a website to Google and another to your visitors. The intention is to trick Google into thinking your site is better than it actually is. However, this is a black hat technique and to achieve it successfully you need to understand many things because it’s not easy to trick Google!
