    In its simplest form:

    $useragent = getenv("HTTP_USER_AGENT");.
    if($useragent=="googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"){
    echo"content for google";
    }
    else
    {
    echo"real content";
    }

    PHP:
    Although I just posted details on how to fake the user agent so its not reliable.

    Make Google see one thing and the visitors another thing!!!!!

    Script example...

    spam.cgi :D

    #!/usr/bin/perl

       print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n";
    if ($ENV{'HTTP_USER_AGENT'} =~ /googlebot/) {
    print <<EOM;

    What Google sees! This is where to enter the spam, cloaking, keyword stuffing....

    EOM
    }

    else {
    print <<EOM;

    What you see!

    EOM
       exit;
    }

    Code (perl):
    Case in point....

    http://64.233.179.104/search?q=cach....ws/+v7ndotcom+elursrebmem&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=6

    I'm seeing how long it takes to be banned from google!!!! :D It's my highest ranking site in the contest. #6 out of 4,100,000 in some datacenters!!!

    Is this ethical??!! :D:D

    Cloaking is so easy to detect I can't really believe it still works. I suppose in the short term it might but no way in the long term once google detects it.

    LOL... Have you ever heard someone go to jail for it ? :D

    It's not illegal man. It's just againts Google's TOS, and plain unethical.

    That's like saying it's illegal to make a kid eat something he doesn't like!!!

    *Still waiting for the FBI to come bust me for cloaking and keyword stuffing!!!* :D

    John who's runing the contest, doesn't think the site should be banned!!!!! :D

    Google themselves say no cloaking though being a tiny page, just one URL, I'm guessing they wont manually bother with it!!! It'll have to be the Googlebot or some listing thing they look for that'll have to ban the site, or crashbomb it down to page 1337. :D:D

    One person that makes around $100,000 a month from the internet through affiliate marketing, thinks it's OK to cloak!!!! :D (SitePoint thread, on the Search engine board, Part 1.)
