What Is Clickbank Payment Processor?

Someone here who checked out the affiliate program for EBOOK IMMERSION suggested I get a 'Clickbank payment processor.'

I think he was saying this would assure that people buying from one my Clickbank affiliates didn't go around them, straight to PayPal (via my real, non-Clickbank home page).

So what is a CB payment processor? Is it a script? Do I pick it up for free somewhere on CB's vendor resources section?

Thanks! This is quite a mystery, but I want to make sure all affiliates have whatever makes them comfortable.

The answer is in your question..:)

Clickbank operates it's own payment prosessor.

Well, I still don't understand where to put it. And wonder why this wasn't mentioned in the Clickbank instructions I followed to set up the site. No Clickbank employee that I'm in touch with has mentioned this either.

Oh well, I'll just search there and maybe I'll get some answers.

Unless something had changed in the very near past... Paypal was still CB's processor. To my knowledge........

    Thanks, Capler.

I'm wondering if I received some misleading advice from someone... Someone here had asked why didn't I get a CB payment processor. But it appears that's exactly what I have; it's not some big, mystery system or gizmo. That was one of the only ways CB approved my product, re-directing buyers thru PayPal. I'm set!

The person who asked me this question had probably just left my CB affiliate program page, so I don't know why he would ask me that question.

BUT: I think he was also suggesting I use something to 'mask' the backend of my URL. His concern was that a customer could look at my URL & chop off the part that would allow an affiliate to get referral credit... They might just pay me directly thru PayPal from my main page, and not off my special Clickbank customer's page.

Anyone know what I should do to prevent this, or is this not really a problem?

    Np...

You can cloak the links once they hit your page to show just like the index page. However, unless your promoting an internet marketing product (and even if you are) people arn't going to chop off part of the link - lol.

    Thanks much, Capler.

I think you're saying that it's not that serious a problem for affiliates. It's not like a customer gets a discountfor going around the affiliate page, straight to my main page to downloading.

I'll address this concern, but maybe it doesn't need to be on the front burner?
