An IP is usually this way A.B.C.D(255.255.255.255)
So this C is very important as it denotes different hosting server

As Samantha suggested, you want the third group of numbers to be different on each server

To answer you question: out of 3 examples you've given:

    - A (same C Class),
    - B (different C Class)
    - C (different C Class)

These different classes means the UNIQUE identification of a particular server.

Each server has a unique identification number-- AA:BB:CC:DD -Usually the CC signifies that the uniqueness of a particular server. DD signifies the unique account ID of a particular client.
    Hope it helps a bit.
