Cache is the process performed by search engine crawler at a regular interval of time. It used to scan and take snapshot of each page over world wide web as well as store as a backup copy. Almost every search engine result page incorporates a cached link for every site. However, clicking over cached link show you the last Google cached version of that specific page rather than of current version.

    Hi everyone,
A cache is a place to store up something for the short term. The files you repeatedly ask for by looking at a Webpage are accumulated on your hard disk in a cache subdirectory under the directory for your browser.

Cache in general is a type of temporary and quick access data used by apps. Any temporary information created or used by an app is part of cache.

Web caching is the caching of web documents (e.g., HTML pages, images) to reduce bandwidth usage, server load, and perceived lag. A web cache stores copies of documents passing through it; subsequent requests may be satisfied from the cache if certain conditions are met.

    or

Copies of web pages stored on the Google search engine database.

Google took a snapshot of your website when it last visited and stored the data in case your website went down or if there are some any other issues.

Caching is a technology used with the memory subsystem of your computer. The main purpose of a cache is to accelerate your computer while keeping the price of the computer low. Caching allows you to do your computer tasks more rapidly.

Cache is the temporary storage of content, such as HTML pages, images, files and web objects, for the benefit of offloading the origin web or application server and reducing the time required to deliver content to a client. There are two main forms of caching: forward-proxy and reverse-proxy. A forward-proxy cache is typically deployed at various points of the Internet, typically at ISPs or as part of a CDN, far from the origin server. A reverse-proxy cache server resides in close proximity to one or more web or application servers and shields the origin server from client requests.
