    Can anyone explain what is this bum marketing........
    Google search is worthless (all courses and blah blah) also couldn't search it in DP ... Bum is less than 4 char :mad:
    Lately many successful guys mentioned this term in there blogs so was curious

    So please any explain in noob terms what is this Bum :p Marketing? Also any tips and tricks!

    I've heard of this too but have no idea what it is.

    I remember a Daily Show one time where there was "Bumvertizing"... where homeless people would get sponsored by websites to wear their shirt or hold their signs.

    It all started with Travis Sago and the Bum Marketing Method. http://www.bummarketingmethod.com

    The name comes from Travis' wife thinking that you could take a bum off the streets, put him in a library and have him make money.

    There's still a lot of confusion about what bum marketing is, and no it's not a synonym to article marketing as everyone seems to think.

    I explain all this in my free report, hehe :p

    It's in my sig, pretty self explanatory which one it is.

    The gist of bum marketing is as follows.

    1.Pick an affiliate product.
    2.Find low competition keywords related to the affiliate product with decent daily search volume.
    3.Write LOTS of articles around those keywords preselling the affiliate product.
    4.Submit those articles to authority article and classified sites known to rank well in google.
    5.Direct the visitor straight to the merchants page. (need a top level domain redirect for ezinearticles.com)
    6.Hopefully make sales and repeat the process.

    The key is in step 4. You basically leverage the PR and authority of other sites, which makes it much easier to rank for various terms then if you started a completely new site. It's similar to the parasite philosophy.

    Gorilla Writer hit the nail on the head.

    In addition to that, Travis Sago slapped the term, "Bum Marketing" to his e-book site as a marketing ploy to sell more of his e-books on article marketing; to make his product sound more interesting.

    It is nothing new. It is just article marketing.
