Broken link is that link which is not pointing to any valid web page any more. It is possible that the page it is pointing to never every existed, or that it existed once but is not valid any longer.

Broken links are links that lead to pages that do not exist. When clicking on a broken link, the page you land on is called a 404 error page, a standard HTTP response that indicates that the requested URL doesn't exist

Broken Links are links that have URLs that are inoperative, or do not lead to the proper pages as indicated by the link. Links may become broken for various reasons, such as a typo in the URL, a change made to the URL, the removal of the content on that page, or things of that nature.

    Hello,

Link breaking, is an informal term for the process by which increasing numbers of links point to web pages, servers or other resources that have become permanently unavailable. A broken link happens when the link points to a web page that has been deleted or moved. When clicking on a broken link, the page you land on is called a 404 error page, a standard HTTP response that indicates that the requested URL doesn’t exist.

    Thanks

A broken link is a link that doesn't work, often resulting in an error page. A broken link happens when the link points to a web page that has been deleted or moved.

When you click on a particular URL if it redirects you to a 404 error page then those links are known as broken links. These links are caused while the link that points to the blog is wrong or else if you have deleted or moved somewhere else.

Well, that's good, repeating the same thing all over again and again, for the sake of increasing number of posts. Some guys never seem to learn.

Broken links are caused when you click on link that is linked to another page, but the other page has moved, making the link obsolete. It doesn't happen as a result of your computer not doing it right, it is the websites problem

When a search engine can't find a page already indexed by search engine during crawling , you git this message " 404 page not found error " :)
