Just wonder anyone here can share with me what is the meaning of bouncing rate? Should it be higher or lower? My site usually got above 60% to 80%, consider it good or bad? Please help. Thanks
The longer you keep a user on a page the better. %80 is OK but %60 is better. Anything under a minute is not good IMO. Look in your stats and see where visitors arrive and where they leave. Put that together with your bounce rate and it will give you a picture of your visitors and what there doing. Hope that helps
Bounce rate = total number of visits viewing only one page / total number of visits Bouncing rate of a website should be minimal for a GOOD website.
Don't get hung up on this, it's just a statistic - what you want is a low EXIT rate, because many people land on site then flit about the pages until they find something they want, often your home page could have a high bounce rate because it may not contain what people came to your site for, you can check this by looking at the time people spend on each page, and seeing what other pages they visit before they exit.
Bounce rate one can say is the effectiveness of a website.60---80% rate means that the visitors are not get enough to navigate in the website they exit from the page immediately where they have landed. But for traffic high BR tell you you are getting visitors. It does not matter in an e-commerce website it is only for SEO purposes.
You need to get people to engage more with your site, A high Bounce rate can suggest that your keywords are not targetted enough. Look at the keywords and the way people get to your site. A Low Bounce rate means that your providing good content and solving the person searches enquiry. It is NOT a meaning less statistic, try getting it to 20%-30% and watch your income and traffic grow. Having said that it also depends on your site, if your an adsense site then expect high bounce rates. if your an information site then your bounce rate should be lower as people will spend longer and engage more. Hope that helps, Oda
Bounce rate is just the percentage of how many people immediately leave the site after they have landed on your webpage (doesn't matter which). Amount of people that click through to another page on your site after landing is 100 - bounce rate.
Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.
just think about it this way: the higher your bouncing rate, the less interested your visitors are from your content. There's no rules written in stone with regards to the correct figures, but it's usually admitted that a good site should get below 50%
Bounce rate is a search engine optimization term used in website visitor/traffic analysis. It reflects the % visitors exit your website without visiting other internal pages or not staying a long time. But there is no standard time limit to occur bounce rate. But it considers the browser session timeout.
