What I think it is. Is that if someone goes to your site then presses the back button few minutes into landing in your page. I have heard that your bounce rate could have influence in your ranking but I am not sure of it yet.

Plenty of people have explained what BR is now, so I won't bother to touch on that. As for the effect on rankings, who knows. Of course I can't say it does, but it seems probable that the number of people who click straight back to the search results does have an effect on future rankings - it's not your BR per se, but your BR from Google search traffic. If 100% of your visitors from Google click back to the search results after 2 seconds, it makes sense that Google would drop you down the rankings for that. It's a clear indication that your site is low quality, and what's more it's a factor that can't be faked by low quality sites, so it would make sense that Google would include it in the algorithm. Google still knows about visitor behavior in relation to the SERP and the landing page.
