Bounce rate is web site traffic analysis. Bounce Rate = Total Number of Visits Viewing One Page ÷ Total Number of Visits
Bounce Rate is nothing but how much time the visitor stays on your site.To reduce the bounce rate keep the good and the updated content for your webpage.
Bonce rate is not about time a visitor spends on a site, but how many pages they viewed. If they land on a page and don't go to any other page on that site then it's a 100% bounce rate.
I have a question. According to Google Analytics, the bounce rate for one of my sites is around 73-74%. This is very high. However, I have only placed this Analytics tracking code on my index page of my site (I only wanted to know how many visitors my site gets and from where.) Could this be the reason why my bounce rate appears so high? Because I only have the tracking code on my index page, and Analytics looses touch once they leave this index page to visit deeper pages.
