It's just like a web ring. You put a banner on your blog that says "X blog ring." Then when readers click that link, they go to the blog ring site where your blog is listed along with other members of the ring. You send traffic to the ring, but it also sends traffic to your blog when readers of other blogs go through the ring's site and end up at yours. Take http://mindpetals.com/ as an example.

If you have a blog, just search for a ring to join. Not all of them are open to everyone though. Do a Google search for "x blog ring" where x is your blog topic.
