My Question Is What Is Better To Use.. Specailly With Seo Tools... The Results Come Back For The Main Domain And Not Sub Site..exapmle..ill Do Page Rank In Alexa And Link Checkers And Back Link Chekcs But Always Shows Me Info For Sythasite.com And Not Mypage.synthasite.com... Im Sure I Know Whats Better But I Want Some Feed Back From You Guys...my Sub Sites Are Not Doing To Bad... And How Do These Sites Work With Search Engines???
The more relevant your URL is the better. This is why you see URL's with the keywords in their URL ranking higher. Subdomain's typically have content in the URL that is unrelevant, which is why owning a domain name is more desirable. It also just looks more professional.
Its better to use domains, not subdomains... You can control everything and seo tools would work better. But in other way if u r using subdomain/free subdomain it can have better SEO results because of the main site
yes !!!the proffesional part is the good part...i hate promoting advertisement.synthasite.com... instead of a advertsement.com...all my promotonal links are based on banners that are clicked on to take you to site. thanks for the feed back
thats why google respects the main sites, i mean big sites with high pr, alexa, backlinks etc... and if your subdomain is there it would be easier for you but they can delete your site when they want...
Theres a lot of directories that won't accept subdomains, or even domain names listed in a subdomain, so a real domain is always better.
Hands down it has to be your own domain. You have so much more control, and a dedicated site is usually seen as much better (to SE's, etc) than a site with a lot of sub-domains.
I always prefer my own domain (thats why never go through mydomain.blogspot.com or somethime like that). I want full control without any limitations. DON.
