what is better to use blogging platforms or your own self hosted blog

    The thing about self-hosted - you need to pay for it. Unless you'll start earning right away (and some do) or already have hosting, it's safer to go with a free platform. Blogger and Wordpress are the best.

    If you have money use it self hosted wordpress blog at WordPressDirect, if you don't have money then use the wordpress fre blog platform.
