Hello, which site si better from the point of earning money + promoting your website? Squidoo, or Hubpages? It seems to me that you may earn more money directly on Hubpages as you may place your own Adsense Ad there (60% rev share). But I found out that it's probably not as goog as Squidoo for link building, as all links from hubpages are "no follow". On the other side, Squidoo has "do follow" link, but revenue scheme is.... you will probably not earn as much as on hubpages. For now, I have no info is one of the sites does better on Google. Do you have any personal long-term experience with these two? Which one do you recommend? (combination of direct earnings + my own site promotion is important). Thank you.
In my experience, Hubpages does a better job of actually driving traffic. Also, I believe Hubpages links are also do-followed as long as your overall score remains of 80. I'm not positive on the number but I believe that's how it works.

I am a great fan of squidoo , so according to me squidoo is the best. I am getting enough traffic from the lenses created by me. Still I will have to look at the hubpages. But right now I would prefer to use squidoo.
Personally, I prefer Squidoo because of the flexibility of lenses, and the great community. But, there's no reason not to use both, and get the best of both
At HubPages you are an Author. At Squidoo you are a Lensmaster. HubPages has a referral system. If someone signs up for a HubPages account via your referral link, you get 10% of their pageviews for the life of their hubs. For referring a person to Squidoo you get a one off $5 payment. Which is credited to your account once that person has made $15 themself (As a means of avoiding fraud). HubPages uses your Adsense account. They manage your Adsense account. Which might be disconcerting to some. But we know they're legit. What it does mean is the reporting of the $ is instant (provided of course you have traffic). Squidoo has Adsense but it is their account. And they share the revenue according to Payrank.
Personally, i have gotten better results using Squidoo. For me, many of my lenses ranked very fast and are great for affiliate sales!
I have a new squidoo lens (edited) but I have to say I'm not all that thrilled with squidoo. The traffic is just ok. Seams like a lot of work to build traffic to it, better time spent doing it to my sites. Almost broke top 100 in health with it and I still don't see much traffic. I just use it for links at the moment. Thinking about checking out hubpages.
I haven't also joined in hubpages yet. I think I need to give it a shot first to see which one is better.
Haven't tried Hubpages yet but using Squidoo for some time now. The traffic is low and the work is insane to get those lenses ranking high.
