put it this way. SEO is FREE and it can be forever. While PPC can be costly and you might not afford it later on.

 

I think both are important. To gate instantly advantage use PPC otherwise SEO is very important.

^super agree, hence; traffic going to your site is nothing but a piece of crap. If you both have the time and budget, do SEO and PPC. When you notice an increase in traffic and SERP go slow in PPC and just focus on SEO for maintenance.

 

I also agree with other guys that PPC and SEO both are necessarybecause PPC is good in terms of money and for rankings in search engines and PR basis,SEO is also necessary.

 

SEO is a slow process and so you have to wait for long around 2-3 months to see the result but through PPC you will get instant traffic on the site.

 

Answer to this question is highly subjective and situational.  PPC gives you instant traffic but its also very costly as you will have to be one of the highest bidders to be on top if your keyword is that famous. This is good for companies with deep pockets, but for a SME or a small player who does not have deep pocket, SEO is what is good.
But the best possible alternative is a combination of both.
SEO gives your site better visibility being on the top ranks in organic search. It is a time consuming process which is continuous in nature. One has to keep the SEO efforts on everyday in order to be on top search list.
PPC is all about money. The more money you can spend the more high rank you will get
But statistics shows that 80% of the searchers click on organic search than paid.
In order to build a brand online, one has to keep visibility in mind
Thus, use SEO for long term goal, and PPC for visibility in the initial stage. Once you have gained enough traffic with your SEO efforts, you can bid for lower rank in paid search or less expensive keyword or you can also remove PPC.

So, there is no standard answer to this question.  But, one thing is for sure, no matter what your business is, in order to survive on the net, SEO is a must with a substantial effort on social media marketing as well.

PPC is a Paid way to get traffic (inorganic way), SEO is ogganic way to create traffic and backlink.

 

I believed that SEO is better than PPC. Because if SEO works on your website then your effort is worth it. Unlike PPC you need to pay for the advertisement. PPC can only be effective if you manage your keywords in right process and if you will earn more than to your payment for adwords.
