SEO is great, but is not something that can occur overnight in most cases, especially in a competitive market. Since this is the case, PPC is a totally different monster also somewhat difficult in a competitive market. However, it is a way to receive immediate targeted traffic. Therefore, I think both have their place in internet marketing. Neither really overrides the other in my perspective. It depends on the market you are in and what type of website you have. PPC isn't great for everything, but it can do wonders for some websites.
As I have gain some good experience from being on the Internet for some time now the best way is to start focusing on SEO utilizing article marketing specifically Ezine Articles. This is the best way to begin to learn about keywords and mastering it slowly as you continue to write keyword focused articles and gain more and more experience. Article Marketing is free and the one thing you will be investing is your time. You will learn a lot about keywords and SEO which will not only prove beneficial in the long run for your article marketing campaign but also will help you start your PPC campaign down the road. You will have experience as well as useful data from your article marketing campaign to help your PPC campaign. This is the best way since PPC takes a good amount of money investment. So it will be best to invest your time first and then once you become more knowledgeable and in profit start investing money.
What is better to get kisses from a pretty lady (for free)? or to pay for the kisses? - that is your answer
if your website is new then ppc is ideal way to check how its give u revenue, while seo will take 3 to 6 months for evaluate.
It depends on many factors. I'd probably say PPC is a better route for more professional marketing, but SEO allows you to achieve "free" traffic, so on lower margin products or with a small budget, it can make a lot of sense. In a perfect world, you would probably do both SEO and PPC effectively.
I heard that sending some PPC traffic to yoursite helps with ranking. Never tried myself though. But I will in the near future.
I heard that the moon landing was faked...and Elvis is still alive. In all seriousness, the 'PPC traffic to improve your organic rankings' idea is a myth. It doesn't work.
Whilst PPC doesn't directly effect your SEO, I've noticed campaigns I've run effecting the SEO of those sites indirectly. I was looking through my list of backlinks and noticed I had got some new links from some on-topic high ranking blogs. I looked at the blogs and found nothing directly linking to us, but I noticed our Google advert was at the top of the page. It seems as though Google not only counted the link but also passed some of those blogs' high PR over, we moved up several pages for a very competitive keyword. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?
I'm using both way, but make sure we tracking all the method since difference product need difference way to grab targeted market.
Hi! Thanks for sharing your ideas! In my experience, both of them provide indexed traffic. Once using different types of strategy absolutely give different outcomes for a period of time. PPC expensive is much higher than SEO. PPC gives the fast results and highly targeted visitors. Meanwhile SEO will take you a long time and will be safer. The problem here is what you need. If you want to be in high PR, PPC is the best. Best wishes for all you!
Both SEO and PPC have their place. SEO is my perference as it is much more cost effective whilst also targeted like PPC. PPC helps support SEO with further brand appeal and attracting markets/sites where you may not be able to go with SEO due to a limited amount of focus with SEO keywords.
I would use PPC because SEO is just to unpredictable your site is in the search engines one day then the next day it is not. You just don't have control with SEO.
Prefer SEO, if you have $1000, use it in SEO. This cost for 1 year. Many SEO service is lower than that price. in PPC, you spend $1000 for 1-2 month. Both of them will bring traffic to your site. Good Luck with your affiliate !!
