I'm considering changing my price point on my diet product actually so this is an interesting topic for me. What makes you say $37? BTW: I just got PPC tracking added to my product so affiliates can easily track their campaigns. ROCK.
37 sounds better to me. If I were you I would try both once you have enough visitors. Just make sure you let your affiliates know beforehand that you are going to experiment. Ones that run PPC may get royally pissed if they are unaware of it.
Well obviously it depends on what you're offering and how good your product is, and of course how you're selling it, perceived value, that's the key man, so if you're selling just a 50 page ebook about weight loss even if it's the best info out there for your prospects it's just another ebook and maybe it'd be better for them to pay just $37 than $47, it all depends.
there really are no answers to that unless you test it try $37 and then try $47 and see what results in more profits who knows, even if you charged $27 that could be more profitable because more people would buy it you could also do a small $3 trail offer and then rebill them the remaining amount 20 days later
Any attempt to conclude what might even POSSIBLY be the best price is is just a ... well, i don't need to say the rest. Because truth be told, proper A/B split testing is required.
As far as weight loss is concern its multibillion dollar industry and people those who suffer overweight problems generally have good disposable income(I am saying in "generally"). So keeping price $47 will not make a difference if it is a quality product also you will get more affiliates because you are offering more comission. (but don't forget,Product must not be a cheap looking) Adding value to your product like videos, special reports can easily convice reader to pay more.
Honestly, I think pricing really is going to boil down to testing to see which converts better for you. Keep in mind that conversioin rates will be different in different marketplaces. For example, you might have an easier time selling a $47 product via PPC than with bum marketing or vice versa.
Noone will tell you the right answer... you will need to test it yourself. I had a product priced at $47, I decided to increase the price to $67 and conversions went up! I actually got many more sales because I increased the price. Another product of mine, I started selling at $67... then I dropped it to $57... then finally to $47 - and this is when the sales increased! So it really depends on what product you sell, how you sell it and who you sell it to but testing is the only way to know what the best price would be. Alex
Depends on how much you want to give out to affiliates. In either case, make sure that the commission is $20+
Yes, sometimes I think lower prices actually make the customer think the product isn't worth very much. A higher price can make it seem like a more substantial product. I'm testing a higher price on my product for now to see what happens. This is actually the initial price I was going to set so I've gone back to that. I've actually noticed there are some weight loss products on CB with some pretty high prices that are doing well.
