    As above.

Imagine both have similar names and both .com endings.

    Which is best?

you can check it for some keywords at: http://www.shoemoney.com/serps.php

and you should analize the backlinks, you can't compare forum signature links with links on home page.

I believe the following is what is being referred to..

Resale - Resale Value if you were to sell the site

SERP - Search Engine Results Page - placement/position in the results page

Traffic - Traffic flow into the site

... and I would also be more interested in the pr5 site.

PR5 because 600 backlinks for a PR5 is good as most of reffers should have PR at least 1, so it's good! Google doesn't really like websites that have 5 PR9 links, also he doesn't like a website with 18918391389 backlinks PR0, he likes average!

I would take the pr6 because the site has higher quality links pointing to it. I guest it depends though on which site has more related sites linking to it.

I suppose a big question then is, how hard is it for a pr5 to become a pr6?

my personal preference is PR+ indexed only.

PR without index is no good in my openion.

    Thanks

In order for a site to recieve pr it has to be indexed, unless you are talking about fake pr?

    Some of those 600 PR5 can become PR6... or PR4 I'd go with the 600 PR5

I suppose this is a trick question, as not all variables are disclosed. Remember PR is not shown in real time - it is a snapshot of a particular point in time. PR hasn't been updated in months and Matt Cutts says it will be several weeks or longer before the next one. That site showing PR6 could actually be a lower PR TODAY than the one showing PR5. Frankly, PR is a useless measure. What is important is the actual page that a link resides on. Specifically the number of links going to that page and the relevance of that page to your site. I have a hunch that PR is dead, just like "supplemental" tags, but Google hasn't bothered telling us yet.
