I think drop ship is only good for tangible items... Just wondering if any one had any info of higher ROI... for example what is better: to promote ebay, or to sell on ebay? (also read: ebay - your website)
ebay is overcrowded right now, profit margins very slim, you need unique items to make profit on ebay
actually it doesn't have to be ebay... you my own your mini site and use drop ship... or you could be affiliate of some one else website with the same (similar) products...
Definitely affiliate. You send the traffic, and they do the rest. With dropshipping, you have to worry about the company not sending the product, shipping delays, out of stock issues, etc. Affiliate is by far the better way to go. My 2 cents of course
In addition to be ovecrowded eBay raised the fees for store owners... I prefer the affiliate way in this situation.
Combine both, build a nework of sites and drive traffic from search engines for free sure to get it you will need to put some content up but well, thats question of implementation;
I say dropshipping all the way. Affiliate programs can make you money, but you don't keep the customer. If you don't mind sending your valuable traffic to someone else's business that's fine, but if you plan on opening up your own online retail at some point, you're probably better off going with drop ship. We offer both affiliate and dropshipping programs, but we end up losing out more with the drop shippers since they buy their stuff at wholesale prices (less of a margin for us) and affiliates only get a straight commission.
Usually you have more profit form drop shipping, but in this way you really have to worry about product quality, shipping delays, out of stock issues, etc. Affiliate delegates all these responsibilities to the product producer, but your profit from each transaction will be less in this case. So you should choose, what do you really want: "blood and dollars" or "peace and cents".
