I'm starting new campaign and have two options - either to use word1+word2+word3 as our external links anchor (which is our primary target keyword), or use word1+word2+word3+word4, where word2+word3+word4 is our secondary target keyword. I believe (basing on previous experience) that word1+word2+word3+word4 gives worse results WHEN competition is high (and it is really hot in my case). Just to gather some valuable opinions, can you confirm or refute my point of view?
Exact is better than combined non-relevant keywords. However if you have too many links with one anchor text, it might be flagged by google as SPAM. be careful when u create backlinks it should not same anchor text all the time. Reps appreciated
exact anchor. read the importance of anchor text in john chows blog. its a good read and might help you
You misunderstood me. The combined anchor is relevant! It is completely human-readable and is a competitive middle-level keyword.
Exact anchor But as somebody don't build all the links with just one anchor text diversify to make it look naturaly
combine anchor is not really good compare to exact anchor. after all it's all about link relevancy. ^^
It depends on the site. If you have a ton of links already, I'd focus more on exact anchor text. If it's a new site, I'd try diversification.
Don't take it the wrong way because I've been up all night and may be misunderstanding your post, but when you say: ... it seems kind of obvious. Why would you do that?
Its a mixture of both and they should be all relevant, make sure to add a few other keywords in your anchor text also so that you can rank for various key phrases.
