I need help bridging Joomla 1.5 and an existing Vbulletin forum.

I don't have access to Vbulletin's website so if someone can help me bridge these two applications that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Do you mean you have an illegal copy of vbulletin?

no, i paid another company to design my site, I didn't like what they were doing with it and even though I paid, they would not give me the username/login for vbulletin's main site.

I think you will just have to buy your own license from vBulletin to be legal then if the company wont give it to you.

This website does an integration script for vbulletin and Joomla: http://forum.bbpixel.com/

Did the price you paid them include a license for VB? There are companies out there that are selling boot leg copies of VB. Meaning they might own one or two VB licenses and are selling those over and over. And then refusing to give the details to the customer they sold the license to.

If you paid for a VB license, and did not receive the log in details for the customers section for vbulletin.com, report what they are doing to VBulletin piracy - http://www.vbulletin.com/piracy.php

Be sure to include as many details as possible about the company you hired to build the site for you. If you got an email receipt with the VB license payment on it, send that as well. If you think the company is selling boot leg copies of VB, include that information. Did you receive example sites before the work was done? Can you contact those sites to see if they were done the same way?

A commercial bridge for joomla and VB is available through Elearningforce - http://www.elearningforce.biz/

The reviews of the bridge can be found here - http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1092/Itemid,35/

I agree with the above poster, apart from the elearningforce bit - don't buy that one because it's not very good. I tried both elearningforce and bbpixel, the latter is way better.

The price I paid included the VB script, however I think they used a bootleg version. Thanks for your advice, it looks like I will be going with a paid bridge, probably bbpixel.

    Again, I appreciate the help!

If you didn't pay to vBulletin for your copy and it was "bundled" with other scripts then you have a warez, cracked or pirated version, whatever you want to call it.

Besides you can't integrate a CMS into a forums, forums are integrated into CMS's
