    With a small budget, what is best type of site for Mobile phones niche?
    -Blog (content about mobile phone and earn revenue through ads/ commissions)
    -ecommerce site (users choose items they want and add to shopping cart. Revenue from commissions from sales of products)
    -Directory (revenue from ads/commissions)
    -Forum about mobile phones (revenue from ads/commissions)
    -Portal (blog+directory+forum etc.)
    -Others

    How about you try to combine those? An ecommerce site with a blog and a forum would be shooting several birds in one stone. Though its a lot of work before it could takeoff, you can start with ecommerce site so you can get commissions right away. But you definitely don't want an expensive site.     You should stick with the ecommerce option. Here you have to be careful to follow the trends. If you for example sell mobile phone cases and there will be a release of a new "superman" movie, there will be a big demand for superman cases when the movie releases and shortly afterwards. So the conclusion is to look at the trends and buy your stock in the right time. A bad stock can be cheap, but there will be no or little demand for the products.

    Just building an eCommerce is not enough. The best product will not sell if you don't build trust and traffic. As an online entrepreneur you will have to build a relationship with your clients and give them a reason to buy from you...
