    phpLD is great.. Their free version is also really good, it is actually a previous (very old ) version of the same software they are selling.

    I seconded PHPLD, they are the most popular directory script available and have been extremely stable.

    PHPLD is easy and has lot of free templates and programmers who can easily modify, but I actually like eSyndicate better as an overall package. I run directories on both scripts.

    phpLD is a good choice , but you can use wordpress to do it , check my directory www.dltus.Com i used a popular wordpress directory plugin on it and its working very well
