What Is Best or Decent Keyword Research Software/Tool?

The first thing I think is that I need keyword research, otherwise I will not
go far, and what I am doing will not be as effective; So i go to google keyword
planner and look up a keyword, and come back with more then a few
high volume searches from 200, 500, 1000+ and so on, then I go to fiveer
and order a keyword research gig telling him the keyword thinking it would
pull of the keywords I found, maybe even more, he claims he is using Long
    Tail Pro
for keyword research, and his report has arrived with junk, most keywords
were nothing but low volume keywords, nothing like what I saw in keyword planner.
Then he wants to give me attitude "I did exactly what you wanted" sure, but
the keywords I found in planner compared to his report are so far off...

Then mhk0m1 on fiveer calls me a liar and says he put the time, and did all this
work and that I would have found the same keywords he sent. dumb little shit
does not realize that I have already used keyword planner to look up keywords
and there was many to plenty of keywords that had decent search volume...
and all he sends me is a few with as much as 10 searches...
Calling me a liar, and offering zero help got him an instant bad review.
    He also refused refund....

I guess people think getting a bad rep is much better then just
doing the right thing and just issuing the refund, most like me
would have moved on without as even leaving a review at all....

He owns that $5 bad review now, glad it was worth it for him...

I can not do anything with piss poor keywords....
If I am going to get targeted traffic, then I need
targeted keywords that will help bring me this traffic....

So i am looking for best/decent keyword search software/tool

    Thanks

Keyword planner and long tail pro is the way to go unfortunately. Those are the only tools to discover high volume keywords. That or you can buy a subscription on SEMRUSH.com and grab your competitors keywords

I am currently testing Long Tail Pro on their 10 day trial...
I am not sure how long it takes to fetch keywords...but
I have been waiting for about 10-15 min now...
It is not really giving any indication that it is even working....

Well, I would say there is just no need of thinking about any other tool than the Google Keyword Planner tool. It is one of the best I can think of, trust me I have tried many Keyword planner tools but I don't find it as accurate as the Google Keyword Planner.

I have used it, but not really in depth...
Is there a way to harvest the keywords
into a text file or something; If i have to copy & paste
each one out, then that would take forever+lifetime=no good

Yes .. yes you can do that, you can upload your .txt file in the GKP tool. What I think you are lagging is the use because you haven't used it you are in confusion. But trust me once you start using it you will get use to .. :)

Sounds like you want to find the LSI keywords. Try keywordshitter.com

I did earlier today, but it does not tell you the importance of keywords....
I would think importance/volume search would matter, right? I guess
if you are looking for a general import of LSI then it would not matter, but
I think the top 5-10 would matter if you are placing them in content no your site...
and I guess I could get those from keyword planner....

For me its Google Keyword planner and along with my own analysis in choosing the best keyword phrase for my website. Its keyword planner for the tool and manual keyword analysis for the finalization.

As we all know, all third party keyword research tools use Adwords API (Google Keyword Planner). So, i think the first choice is Google keyword Planner tool, but you can also give a try to Market Samurai Keyword Tool.
Just Google it and you can find several tutorials and reviews links to know more about this tool.

Remember when Market Samurai was worth something, then they had to change and put everything on the cloud?...ugh.

I've heard people still use Traffic Travis with good results, but I'm not going to get back into that software unless I see some reviews from people with good, solid results.

I would try Market Samurai trial (say you were referred by 30 Day Challenge) and you'll get a 40 day trial. Alternatively you can try the free version of Traffic Travis
